I had my first consultation with NDU in July 2021, at which time I was suffering with M.E., chronic migraines, and chronic pain. I was mostly housebound and sometimes bedbound.

At my consultation, I had a 3D cone beam scan and we discovered that I had infection in my wisdom teeth as well as an amalgam filling and other fillings that needed replacing. I also began working with NDU's hygienist as I had moderate periodontal disease.

In September 2021 I travelled down to London from Merseyside where I live to have my amalgam filling safely removed and replaced and my wisdom teeth extracted. NDU took great care in ensuring all my treatment was done safely, to ensure no metals leaked back into my system. I also had vitamin IVs during my treatment. 

For my wisdom teeth removal, I was feeling fatigued and anxious but the team took great care of me, helping me remain calm and go at a pace that felt comfortable for me. The surgery was surprisingly easy yet very thorough, with the extraction sites properly cleaned out to avoid reinfection. And I was very happy that, for me, the majority of my recovery took only a few days.

In September - October 2021 I received laser treatment for my periodontal disease, which took a little bit of time, but completely rejuvenated the health and appearance of my mouth. I was taught how to properly care for my mouth and what it truly means to clean my teeth.

Since finishing all my treatment in October 2021, I haven't experienced a single migraine - which has transformed my life after previously experiencing migraines most days. I have also seen improvements in my wider health and I am now, 7 months after my treatment, fully recovered from all my chronic illnesses.

At my most recent checkups with NDU in May 2022, I had zero signs of periodontal disease and the rest of my oral health was in great shape. I am so grateful to the NDU team for taking such amazing care of me since I first became a client. I've felt like my wider health issues have been considered as part of my oral health, which was very important to me. I've also felt so well cared for and treated with such gentleness and kindness by everyone at the clinic.

I couldn't recommend NDU more, especially for anyone struggling with chronic illness.
